   The Bay De Noc Kennel Club offers obedience, agility and puppy classes on a regular basis. We also occasionally offer classes in rally, clicker, tracking and conformation.

     OBEDIENCE classes use motivational methods (food and play rewards) to teach your dog to be a better member of your family.
This is a pet training class: we work on " sit, down, stay, come,
leave it," and how to walk on a loose leash. We also try to help with problems you may be having (barking, digging, jumping etc.)
     Our classs size is strictly limited and we have 5 trainers on the floor, so each student can receive individual attention.
Dogs must be at least 6 month old for class and you must be
pre-registered.
       The next class will start January 10, 2012. (sorry this class is full) You may email or call to reserve a spot in the April class

     AGILITY classes are offered year around. During the winter months they are held in our building on fully matted flooring. During the spring/summer and fall classes are held at our outdoor agility area which is fully fenced. .
      FOUNDATION AGILITY CLASS helps puppies, dogs and handlers to learn focus, the fun of toys and play, circle work, jump skills, etc. We reccommend this class before taking other agility classes and is good for both new dogs and for older dogs as a refresher course. Next class starts Jan 18, 2012
     BEGINNER AGILITY CLASS offers newcomers a chance to experience this fun sport with their dogs. Classes are open to both puppies and adult dogs with the emphasis on learning each piece of equipment. Classes with openings starting Jan 16, 2012
       INTERMEDIATE AGILITY is for those with some agility experience and will focus on handling and control. Class with openings starting early in 2012.


       PUPPY classes are held every Wednesday from 6:30 to 7:15 in the kennel club building. Puppies up to 6 months of age can play and socialize while their owners learn how to deal with common puppy behaviors and how to start basic obedience training. All training is done using games and rewards, so the puppies learn that learning is fun!!
Cost is $5.00 per session (includes a training DVD for each puppy owner.) Puppies adopted from the Delta Area Animal Society get one free puppy class.
        Bring your puppy on a buckle collar, please, along with some soft treats. Children are always welcome at puppy class.

        CANINE FREESTYLE is a choregraphed musical program performed by handlers and their dogs. The object is to present the dog and handler in a creative original dance using music and movement that showcases teamwork and artistry in a musical display.
        Freestyle workshops are offered occasionally and freestyle practice is held every other Tuesday at 11AM. If there is enough interest a freestyle class could be offered for dogs with some basic obedience.
